Peter Lowentraut – Request for Passport
On March 4, 1892, Peter Lowentraut applied for a passport to travel abroad and stated that he would be returning to Newark within six month. In his application for the passport which is shown below, he lists three important dates. First, his birth date as April 21, 1836 in Gernsheim, Darmstadt, Germany. The second date is his immigration to the United State from London England on or about April 1849 and finally, the date of his naturalization as a United States citizen before the Superior Court of the City of New York on October 5, 1860.

Anna Lowentraut Et Al., Executors, Plaintiffs in Error vs. Thomas W. Jackson, Defendant in Error
The following is a case regarding promissory notes that had been endorsed by Peter Lowentraut and made by a Mr. Schaller which were held by a Thomas W. Jackson. The case was argued and determined in the Supreme Court and, at Law, in the Court of Errors and Appeals of the State of New Jersey on July 5, 1911 and decided on November 28, 1911.
